Hostel Rules

  • Save the dorm rooms for dreams, enjoy your snacks and drinks in common areas.

  • AC runs from 10 pm to 9 am for Mother Nature's sake. Thanks for keeping it green!

  • Shoes off, smiles on! No footwear inside, please.

  • Keep it neat, keep it sweet! Don't leave your belongings in a mess; it's a shared space.

  • Dry your clothes in designated spaces only. Let's keep our hostel fresh.

  • Turn off lights and taps when not needed and Mother Earth will give you a virtual high-five!

  • Our kitchen is a shared space. Clean up after yourself, so we can all enjoy a clutter-free cooking zone.

  • Clean up the bathroom after yourself, and leave it sparkling for the next person.

  • In case of lights out, the rooftop is always full of energy! 

  • Laundry service available at 300 rs per load. Need a towel? Rent one for 50 rs

Hostel Policies

  • Check-In/Check-Out Policy:
    - Standard check-in time: 1 PM IST (allowed 24 hours)
    - Check-out time: 10 AM IST

  • Guest Policies:
    - Unpack Hostel is suited for young backpackers; not recommended for families. We do not allow those below 18 or above 40.
    - Payment modes: Cash, Debit card, Credit card, UPI.
    - Payment gateway charges are non-refundable.
    - We do not accept group bookings of more than 4 people, through website or any other OTA channels. We reserve the right to cancel any such bookings made, including a group booking made as several smaller ones.
    - On certain days or occasions we reserve the right to enforce a minimum duration restriction on all bookings
    -Every foreign guest must carry and present their passport and a valid visa (in originals) during the time of check-in
    -Every Pakistani guest must carry and present during the time of check-in: an additional residence permit letter from the Indian High Commission in Islamabad along with the passport and valid visa in originals.
    - No guarantee for same dorm room for groups of 3 or 4, that will strictly be subject to availability until the time of check-in.
    - Policies specific to time or season may be communicated at check-in.
    - Right to admission reserved.
    - Mandatory presentation of valid government-approved Photo ID at check-in. Valid IDs are Passport, Aadhar, Driving license.

  • Cancellation Policy:
    - Cancellation with 100% refund if informed 3     days prior to check-in.
    - No refund within 3 days; 100% cancellation charges.
    - Non-refundable policy applies once marked as "checked-in."
    - Amendments allowed free of charge if informed 3 days prior.

      - All refunds will be processed and credited to the customer's bank account within 5-7 working days.​

  • Extension Policy:
    - Extension of stay is subject to availability.
    - The room would be provided at the ongoing rates on the website and not as per the rates at which the previous booking was made.

  • General Policies:
    - Visitors are not allowed inside any of the dorms, at any time.
    - Hostel management shall not be held responsible for loss of luggage or personal belongings.     Guests shall make sure not to leave their belongings unattended at all times.
    - Guests can order & consume outside food in the designated common areas only
    - The guest shall be deemed unfit to continue any further at our hostel in case of drug abuse, non-adherence of guest and booking policies, misbehavior (Physical/mental/verbal or in any kind), theft, personal hygiene, vandalism, trespassing, non-payment/delay in payment of dues, other guest inconveniences or any such unwarranted actions. In all such cases, the guest shall be asked to vacate the premises immediately without any refunds.
    - Drugs/Substance abuse is STRICTLY prohibited at all our hostels. In case anyone is found possessing or consuming drugs during their stay, strict action shall be taken against him/her and the person would be asked to vacate the hostel immediately and would be blacklisted from staying at our hostel forever.
    - Our hostel has dedicated smoking areas. Smoking inside the dorms is strictly prohibited.
    - CCTV enabled for safety, security and checks/audit
    - Guests liable for any damage except normal wear and tear.
    - Power backup is available only at select spaces in the hostel
    - Covid guidelines adherence required.
    *Note: Some policies may be season-specific and communicated during booking or check-in. Guests may receive promotional emails from Unpack Hostel.*

  • Liability Disclaimer:
    - While we strive to maintain a safe environment, our hostel cannot be held responsible for any injuries sustained during any guest's stay. By residing here, guests agree to assume all risks associated with their actions on the premises.

 

Privacy Policy

  • Collection of Information:
    - Personal information collected includes identity, demographics, and interaction data.
    - Information gathered during sign-up/registration, such as name, date of birth, address, contact details, and proof of identity.

  • Use of Information:
    - Personal information used for services, safety, customer experience, dispute resolution, and marketing.
    - Data used for market research, analysis, and surveys; IP address utilized for diagnostics. 

  • Reservation Data:
    - Information required for reservation includes name, contact, gender, nationality, date of birth, identification data, credit card details, and email.

  • Credit Card Data:
    - Full debit/credit card details needed for reservation guarantee.
    - Cancellation procedure outlined to avoid charges.

  • Guest Personal Data:
    - Guest privacy respected; personal information not disclosed without permission except in emergencies.

  • Keeping Our Information Up To Date:
    - Guests must inform about updates to personal information.

  • How We Use Cookies:
    - Cookies used for a personalized experience, performance improvement, and analyzing user behavior.
    - Third-party cookies for market research, revenue tracking, and compliance monitoring.

  • Google Analytics And Demographical Data:
    - Google Analytics used for website behavior analysis; demographical data collected at a group level.
    - Option to opt out of tracking by disabling cookies.

  • Third Party Websites:
    - Unpack Hostel is not responsible for data use on third-party websites; guests advised to refer to their privacy policies.
    - The platform may link to other websites, and Unpack Hostel is not responsible for their privacy practices.

  • Photography And Film:
    - No permission needed for photos/filming at properties.
    - Verbal consent requested for photographing/filming other guests; commissioned crews may capture promotional content.

  • Disclosing Your Information To Third Parties:
    - Personal information disclosed only for specified purposes or legal obligations.

  • Consent:
    - Consent implied by visiting the platform to the collection, use, storage, disclosure and otherwise processing of your information, to contact you through SMS, instant messaging apps, call and/or e-mail in accordance with this Privacy Policy
    - Users can opt out of non-essential communications; withdrawal not retroactive.

  • Data Retention:
    - Personal information retained as long as necessary or required by law.

  • Changes To Our Privacy Policy:
    - Privacy policy subject to change; continued use implies agreement.

Terms and Conditions

  • By using the site, you express consent to the terms and conditions, applicable to your use of the web and related services. The right to change terms rests with Kanak Alliance LLP
